Grants Administrator

BroadbandOhio is looking for an experienced grants administrator to join our team at the Ohio Department of Development. In this position you will administering new and existing state and federal grants.

What you’ll be doing

  • Assists Grant Manager with implementing State and Federal grant programs to include creation, outreach and award.

  • Tracks all details associated with grant implementation.

  • Ensures that grant recipients adhere to the State and Federal rules and regulations governing grant expenditures.

  • Accurately prepares and submits required state program and fiscal reports.

  • Closely manages all facets of grant management, which includes cost controls, tracking system, and budget preparation and monitoring.

  • Determines priorities and time schedules.

  • Analyzes grant applications and recommends approval or disapproval.

  • Disseminates information to all stakeholders and educates clients on the grant programs.

  • Provides timely updates on grant projects and informs Grant Manager of any concerns associated with their progress.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with administering State of Ohio and Federal grant programs from inception to execution.
  • Proven results with organizing data, tracking grant logistics and managing stakeholder’s expectations.
  • Demonstrates grant administration savvy and is detail driven.
  • Gets results by positively influencing diverse groups of people in all levels of business and government.
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively at all times.

Supplemental Information

This position is required to work in the office Monday-Friday with flexibility in starting and ending times. The job is located in the Vern Riffe building, 77 South High St. Columbus, OH 43215
