Grant Specialist

  • Conducts research on potential funding sources pertinent to the objectives of SBLHS and SBLHF.
  • Remains current on sources for grants including governmental sources, corporate sponsors, private foundations, vendors and suppliers.
  • Works with departments, medical staff and community partners to plan projects for grant funding. Establishes goals, objectives, expected outcomes, budget analysis, and applications of funds in accordance with funding source guidelines and criteria.
  • Writes, prepares and submits innovative and competitive grant proposals, solicitation letters and other required documentation. Prepares budgets.
  • Assists with administration of grant funds. Serves as a liaison with appropriate departments and/or agencies to implement grants awarded. Resolves issues arising with grant, project and funds.
  • Tracks and measures grant projects and funds. Provides reports and follow-up with funding sources in accordance with the guidelines of the funding agency.
  • Prepares reports for the SBLHS and SBLHF boards.

  • Networks locally, regionally, and nationally to remain current on sources in the field of grants. Is active in professional associations in the field of grants and fund raising. Keeps current with publications pertinent to grantmanship fund raising.

Pay: Based on experience, starting at $57,574.40 an hour
