About the Graduate Program

During your first year of employment, you will participate in the Graduate Program which is a 12-month professional development program designed to attract, develop and retain the next generation of insurance professionals. The Program will support your growth as a well-rounded technical expert and potential future leader at Allianz Commercial. Key Program elements include:

• Employment begins 01 July 2026, and the Program starts in early August of 2026.
• Time is split time between structured learning curriculum and on the job experiential learning.
• Opportunity to gain a broad base of industry knowledge, function specific expertise as well as personal and professional skills development.
• Ability to network with senior leaders, technical experts, customers, as well as other graduates and early career program participants globally.

Your Team:

You will be part of the Liability Department. We are a highly experienced team of underwriters recognized as among the best in the market, and we are looking to blend youthful talent into the team to pursue ongoing and future success while sustaining the strong Allianz brand and reputation in the insurance marketplace. We seek ambitious and driven individuals with a curious mind and a willingness to learn business acumen and technical skills. It is also about building market relationships with brokers, cedants, and clients. An analytical mindset and interpersonal skills are equally important.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in underwriting new and renewal accounts, including risk analysis and research, and proactively preparing relevant underwriting information
• Assist in pricing of risks and setting terms and conditions
• Assist in marketing and negotiating with brokers to close deals
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key broking partners, clients, and internal stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with internal underwriting and governance processes, documentation, and administration requirements

Key Experience / Requirements / Skills :

• Expected to graduate with a university degree by June/ July 2026 in a related field (Accountancy, Business, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Engineering etc.).
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Knowledge or prior experience in an insurance related company is advantageous.
• Strong desire to learn the ropes in preparation for a career in the insurance industry.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, including demonstrated tenacity at data mining to discover root causes of results is advantageous.
• Team player with strong service quality mind-set, adaptable, analytical, independent, meticulous, proactive, reliable, resilient, self-motivated, and willing to learn.
• Very strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to utilize AI tools to support day-to-day tasks, improve efficiency and contribute to data-driven decision making.
