Graduate Specialist Family Violence Practitioner

Are you a recent Social Work graduate or in your final year of study and looking to make a meaningful difference?
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Family Violence team as a Graduate Specialist Family Violence Practitioner Designed specifically for new graduates, this 12-month development program provides extensive training, mentoring and practical experience, allowing you to build confidence and capability while making a real impact in the lives of women and children affected by family violence.
With dedicated support and a reduced caseload, you'll have the opportunity to develop specialist skills in family violence practice while working alongside experienced professionals.

The Salvation Army (Salvos) provides a wide range of services that support women and women with children impacted by family and domestic violence. We offer accommodation, counselling, support, behavioural programs, and advice to women and children at risk of, experiencing or escaping family violence. Our services focus on prevention, restoration, and healing to provide specialised support to address immediate safety issues and provide advice, referrals, and connection to assist the recovery journey.
About the Role
As a Graduate Specialist Family Violence Practitioner, you will be supported to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed and person-centred services to women and women with children who are experiencing, or have experienced, family and domestic violence.
Working across both centre-based and outreach services, you will assist clients to improve their safety, wellbeing and recovery through case management, crisis response, risk assessment and coordinated support.
A reduced caseload throughout the graduate program will provide you with dedicated time for professional development, reflective practice and ongoing learning.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.
We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
