Your next career opportunity
You will lead a small team delivering high-quality graduate research support across the University.
In this role, you will shape systems, training and complex candidature management.
Your work will directly improve graduate researchers’ experience and support staff delivering consistent, policy-compliant processes.
What you will deliver:
- Lead and mentor a small team delivering high-quality graduate research administrative support across the University.
- Coordinate development and delivery of training, documentation and updates on candidature management for staff and researchers.
- Oversee complex candidature processing and provide expert advice, including managing unsatisfactory progress cases with senior leaders.
- Act as subject matter expert for graduate research systems, leading testing and supporting implementation of changes.
- Contribute to Graduate Research strategy, priorities and culture, ensuring responsive, effective support for graduate researchers.
You may be a great fit if you:
- Hold a degree-level qualification combined with substantial experience in graduate research administration or graduate researcher support within a complex tertiary education environment, with a strong understanding of the unique academic and personal issues facing graduate researchers.
- Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, engaging diverse stakeholders and managing expectations with professionalism.
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to design creative solutions and negotiate outcomes in challenging cases.
- Deliver high-quality service through excellent organisation and project management, improving processes and meeting competing deadlines.
- Lead, motivate and train a small team, fostering continuous improvement and a positive, collaborative team culture.
- Use large integrated databases and Microsoft Office confidently, ideally including experience with TechnologyOne or similar systems.

The team partners with Associate Deans and faculty-based colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality candidature management.
Together, you will help shape processesolicies, systems and training that directly influence graduate researchers’ experience and success.
