Job Description

Portfolio Managers (PMs) are responsible for overseeing and managing investment portfolios on behalf of clients. Each team member takes responsibility for specific asset classes, sectors, geographic regions or specific areas of importance in the development and management of investment strategies.

A multi-asset portfolio analyst collaborates with portfolio managers (PMs) and other investment team professionals within the bank to assist in the management and development of multi-asset strategies. This is done by aggregating market and portfolio data, conducting research and assisting with various portfolio management tasks such as performance evaluation, quantitative research and execution.

Job Duties

  • Assist with performance evaluation and risk analysis for multi-asset portfolios
  • Assist the quantitative team in the development of tools for the management of multi-asset portfolios
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of investment vehicles used in multi-asset portfolios and assist with the related operational and trading implications
  • Contribute to the development of tactical asset class investment views and how to implement these across various multi-asset portfolios, including assisting with the development and adjustment of investment strategy for specific asset classes (e.g. equities, fixed income, currencies, commodities)
  • Assist in managing discretionary private and institutional clients’ global multi-asset investment portfolios
  • Assist with the preparation of written and verbal rationale and justification for trades
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including relationship managers (RMs), other PMs, investment advisors and compliance officers, leveraging collective expertise to deliver comprehensive investment solutions
  • Promote LGT’s culture and values during interactions with clients and staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a relevant field, completed within the last 12 months
  • Strong interest in finance and/or banking and a willingness to learn
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • High level of motivation, initiative and a strong sense of responsibility
