Position will serve as a senior-level coordinator within the GME program, providing strategic direction and oversight for the successful administration and coordination of one or more complex accredited/non-accredited residency/fellowship programs at UT Southwestern Medical Center. This position requires a high level of autonomy and expertise, with the GME Coordinator III who will work closely with the Program Director to develop and implement program strategy and collaborate on all aspects of program operations. Position plays a pivotal role as a mentor and trusted resource for GME Program Coordinators I and II, while also driving the development and execution of innovative initiatives and strategic plans to enhance the GME program's success. This role requires advanced knowledge, skills, and experience in all aspects of GME program administration and the ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment in complex situations.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required- Education
Bachelor's Degree degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field required
Associate's Degree plus 3 additional years of direct experience may be accepted
- Experience
4 years of direct experience as the primary GME program coordinator of an ACGME-accredited residency-fellowship program(s)
May be required to submit to a federal background investigation.

JOB DUTIES - Leads the strategic planning and development of the GME program(s), in collaboration with the Program Director, ensuring alignment with institutional and departmental goals.
- Oversees all aspects of program operations, including resident recruitment, selection, onboarding, and the overall educational experience.
- Leads the development and implementation of innovative educational strategies and program enhancements to improve resident learning and overall program quality.
- Oversees all aspects of program evaluation, including resident, faculty, and program evaluations, ensuring timely completion and analysis of data for continuous improvement.
- Leads the coordination of all accreditation activities, including site visits, self-studies, and special reviews, ensuring program compliance with all ACGME requirements and institutional policies.
- Serves as a key advisor and consultant to the Program Director on all program-related matters, including the development and implementation of GME policies, the resolution of complex issues, and the development of strategic initiatives.
- Provides mentorship and guidance to junior program coordinators and may supervise a team of administrative staff.
- Represents the program at national and international meetings and conferences and actively participates in professional organizations.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, including faculty, residents, staff, administrators, program directors, institutional leaders, external agencies, and accrediting bodies.
- Oversees aspects of program budget management, including forecasting, monitoring expenditures, reconciling trainee clinical effort, ensuring compliance with all financial regulations, and managing the budget development process for program-related activities.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, including but not limited to HIPAA, FERPA, and all relevant state and federal laws.
- Stays abreast of the latest advancements in medical education, accreditation standards, and best practices in GME program administration.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
