About BlueRock Finance

From home loans to large-scale development funding, BlueRock’s Finance team aims to make the impossible possible. We secure the right finance to bring our clients’ dreams to life and support them every step of the way on their business or property journey.

Our growing Finance team is looking for a Graduate Lending Associate to join the team and develop a career in lending and financial services. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone nearing completion of a relevant degree who is eager to learn in a collaborative environment.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Supporting the team with client enquiries and providing a high standard of customer service.
  • Reviewing loan applications and assisting with the pre-credit functions of the lending process.
  • Preparing and analysing financial statements, tax returns and supporting documentation.
  • Assisting with borrowing capacity assessments and preliminary lending analysis.
  • Helping prepare residential, commercial, business and asset finance applications.
  • Liaising with clients, lenders, accountants and other stakeholders to collect required information.
  • Maintaining accurate client records and upholding strong data hygiene.
  • Learning about lender policies, loan products and the application-to-settlement process.
  • Developing an understanding of the three C’s of lending - character, collateral and capacity.
  • Supporting the team to help clients achieve the best finance outcomes through our network of over 40 financial institutions.

Requirements

  • A completed or nearly completed tertiary degree in Business, Economics, Commerce, Accounting or Finance.
  • An interest in lending, credit analysis, property finance or financial services.
  • A sound understanding of accounting fundamentals, including financial statements, tax returns, P&Ls and balance sheets.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to organise and manage information accurately.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel.
  • A willingness to learn mortgage broking systems such as MyCRM and Connective.
  • A collaborative attitude and eagerness to learn from experienced finance professionals.
  • Previous experience in accounting, banking, administration, customer service or financial services will be viewed favourably but is not essential.
