Job Description
The Graduate Intern for Student Club Engagement plays a key role in advancing a growing and dynamic student club portfolio at Berklee College of Music. This position partners closely with the Assistant Director for Student Clubs to strengthen sustainable infrastructure, enhance engagement, and streamline core processes that support student clubs.
The Graduate Intern will support ongoing club engagement through office hours and community-building initiatives, manage room booking and travel processes, and guide student leaders in navigating institutional systems. The role also supports the development of new club onboarding structures, contributes to training and leadership development efforts, collaborates with campus partners, and assists in refining club policies, sanctions processes, and resource development to ensure scalable, student-centered support.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A strong interest in student engagement, leadership development, and campus life
- Experience working with student organizations, clubs, or community-based groups
- Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with diverse student populations
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfort navigating administrative systems and processes, or a willingness to learn quickly
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Interest in program development, training, and creating resources that support student success
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to a team-oriented environment
- Openness to feedback and a desire for professional growth
- Experience working with student engagement software, including 25Live, EMS, etc.
- Experience working with Canva or other multimedia tools(?)
Primary Responsibilities
Take the lead on:
- Club Engagement
- Facilitate regular office hours to support student club leaders
- Plan and implement engagement opportunities such as club mixers and community-building events
- Serve as an accessible and consistent point of contact for student organizations
- Room Bookings
- Coordinate and manage room reservation processes for student clubs
- Support students in navigating institutional systems and policies related to space usage
- Club Travel Processes
- Guide student organizations through travel procedures, ensuring compliance with college policies
- Assist with documentation, timelines, and communication related to club travel
- New Student Club Cohort Development
- Support the design and implementation of a structured onboarding experience for newly recognized clubs
- Contribute to resources that help new organizations build strong foundations

- Assist in the facilitation and coordination of trainings for student club leaders

- Collaborate with Campus Life team members and campus partners to support student organization needs
- Strengthen communication and coordination across departments
- Club Policy and Resource Development
- Support updates to the student club manual and related materials
- Assist with reviewing and refining club policies, including sanction processes
- Contribute to the development of accessible, tech-enabled resources for student organizations
Pay Rate: $30/hour
