ENABLING THE DIGITAL WORLD

Smartphones, computers, networks, self-driving cars, intelligent machines, the latest medical advances, renewable energy – the digital transformation makes our lives easier, safer, and more comfortable.

And we are at the center of it all: The world's leading technology companies manufacture their products with innovative solutions from ASMPT.

Graduate, Human Resources

The ASMPT team is looking to fill the following position:

Join us where we are enabling the digital world to realise its incredible potential, and where we will support you to realise yours too.

Our technology powers EVERYTHING with a digital component: we produce innovative equipment that enables the world’s biggest names in electronics to bring their technology to market. We thrive in a forward-thinking environment where continuous investment powers opportunities to work on exciting new projects on a global scale.

And while we have offices – and career opportunities - around the world, the real magic happens at our Product Innovation Centre in Weymouth. This is the centre of our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) function, where we offer the best-in-class solutions to our customers.

Our People enjoy challenge and opportunity in equal measure. We sharpen our skills and knowledge, and experiment at the cutting edge across multiple disciplines.

We think you will like it too.

The Role:

We are looking for a motivated and organised HR Graduate to support the delivery, management and continuous improvement of our Early Careers programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to gain broad exposure across HR while playing a key role in shaping the experience of placements, graduates, apprentices and students across the organisation.

You will work closely with HR colleagues, hiring managers, training providers and external partners to ensure our early careers initiatives are well-coordinated, compliant and deliver a positive experience for all participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the end‑to‑end delivery of Early Careers programmes, including placements, graduate hires, apprenticeships, work experience and school/university outreach initiatives.
  • Act as a point of contact for students, apprentices, managers and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Support engagement activities such as inductions, events, reviews and outreach initiatives.
  • Prioritise programme activities and tasks, balancing competing demands throughout the recruitment and onboarding lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate programme records, compliance documentation and HR systems data in line with GDPR and internal processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve programme efficiency, processes and participant experience, proposing practical improvements.

You’ll be supported with mentoring, training, and development opportunities. You’ll stay in one department, allowing you to build deep expertise and take ownership of your work, but also have the opportunity to see how all departments work together. You will be contributing to meaningful projects that support ASMPT’s mission.

About you:

Enabling the digital world offers enormous scope to develop your career beyond traditional ideas of progression or promotion. Enabling is always evolving.
We want to hear from enthusiastic individuals who are either in your final year of study (graduating before summer 2026) or have completed your degree in the last 1–3 years in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or a related discipline.

You’d be a great fit for this position if you:

  • Are organised, proactive and comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Have strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Have strong attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.
  • Are confident in producing accurate reports, tracking information and maintaining structured records.
  • Have knowledge of HR processes, recruitment activities and/or early careers programmes.
  • Have an awareness of employment legislation, HR compliance and data protection principles (GDPR).
  • Have experience in an HR environment through internships, placements, temporary roles or volunteering.

This role offers hands‑on experience across HR and Early Careers, exposure to senior stakeholders, and the opportunity to contribute to programmes that have a real impact on future talent entering the organisation.

We think you will enjoy working at ASMPT because:

Our culture is unique. Unlike many of our more corporate competitors, we strive to maintain a people-first, family-like culture that people appreciate and enjoy. It’s conducive to collaboration, to encouraging feedback and enabling innovation.

It’s an exciting place to be. Ideas evolve in front of your eyes and we are constantly pivoting and adapting to meet the needs of tomorrow’s technologies. The possibilities here are limitless, the opportunities are huge, and our culture is warm and friendly.

Our people are some of the brightest experts around and everyone has a voice here. It’s a great place to be if you like to see your ideas turn into action, but we tend not to shout about it too loudly. You could say we are the tech sector’s best-kept secret!

We will offer you:

  • A competitive graduate starting salary
  • A comprehensive benefits package
  • Mental Health and Wellbeing support – we have a team of mental health first aiders within ASMPT and a confidential, external provider
  • Annual leave starting at 25 days
  • The opportunity for hybrid working – with the capacity to work from home 2 days a week in agreement with your line manager
  • Discounted corporate gym membership
  • Subsidised canteen providing local, fresh, nutritious sustenance
  • Company social events – including company gatherings, sports and social club activities, environmental/diversity group activities, football, volleyball, badminton, organised walks etc.

This is currently for an 18-month, fixed term, full time contract position starting 1st July 2026. The provisional closing date for applications are 29th May 2026.

Due to the amount of applications we receive for this position, we will be reviewing the applications in batches. Please be patient if you don't hear back from us immediately.
