About the role 

This role provides an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on geology experience while contributing to Evolution Mining’s Discovery, Resource Definition, and Mining teams.

As part of the graduate program, you will gain exposure to various aspects of geological work, from exploration and resource evaluation to grade control and ore extraction.

The program is designed to build a strong technical foundation in mineral systems, data analysis, and geological modelling while fostering collaboration with a diverse team, including geologists, mining engineers, surveyors, operators, and contractors.

This role supports continuous learning and skill development in a practical, real-world mining environment, where teamwork, innovation, and inclusion are highly valued.

Throughout the program, you will engage in a wide range of geological tasks, including:

• Sample collection

• Geological mapping

• Drill rig supervision

• Drill core logging.

• Develop the ability to interpret geological data, compile cross-sections and 3D models and validate resource estimates.

Additionally, you will gain experience in quality control, data management, and drill program execution, ensuring accurate geological information is available to guide mining operations effectively.

About you

This role reports to the Senior Geologist and as part of the graduate program. You will develop a strong technical foundation in mineral systems, geological modelling, and data analysis while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative and inclusive environment.

The program offers exposure to a variety of geological tasks. With a focus on continuous learning and career development, this role supports the growth of future geologists in the mining industry.

To be successful, this candidate will require the following skills:

• Qualifications in Science majoring in Geology, Geoscience, or Geophysics (Honours strongly preferred) within the last three years.

• Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Manual Driver’s License or the ability to obtain a manual driver’s license before the program begins.

• Commitment to Safety & Value is critical so a strong dedication to workplace health, safety, and security standards, as well as alignment with Evolution Mining’s core values.
