The Role

We are seeking Graduate Civil Engineers who are keen to build their careers within our Urban Infrastructure team in Geelong

By joining SMEC’s Graduate Development Program, you’ll gain hands-on experience working on some of Australia’s most complex and impactful projects.

As part of the program, you will:

  • Contribute to major infrastructure projects and community-focused initiatives
  • Assist in preparing proposals, reports, and technical documentation
  • Be supported through our buddy system and collaborative team environment
  • Access industry events and networking opportunities
  • Join a large and diverse graduate community across ANZ

You’ll also benefit from a blend of in-person and online training through our graduate development workshops, covering areas such as client engagement and time management.

About You

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic graduates who bring:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering (final year or graduated within the last 2 years), with a credit average
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to manage time and priorities effectively
  • A solid understanding of analytical methods, tools, and engineering principles
