Job Description

CREATE YOUR FUTURE AT ATC WILLIAMS!

About Us

At ATC Williams, we apply forward-thinking engineering expertise to complex projects in the most challenging environments. We are an internationally recognised leader in the sustainable design and delivery of Tailings, Water, and Waste projects for the mining, resources and government sectors.

With around 250 people across Australia and Peru, we can take on complex global work and close-knit enough for your contributions to matter from day one. As a graduate, you won't be one of hundreds. You'll be known, supported, and given real responsibility early.

Why Join ATC Williams?

  • Work on real, high-impact projects from day one across Australia and internationally, including Peru, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan and India.
  • Direct access to senior engineers and principals whose doors are always open to share technical knowledge and advice.
  • Exposure to multiple disciplines such as civil, geotechnical, water, hydraulics, hydrology, hydrogeology and environmental monitoring, helping you discover where your strengths lie.
  • Structured development through our in-house ATC University program, with technical workshops, fieldwork training and ongoing learning.
  • Competitive remuneration reviewed annually, with a genuine commitment to recognising your growth.

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. If you require any adjustments to the recruitment process, please let us know — we're here to help.

The ATC Williams Graduate Pathway

1. Graduate Momentum Program — Build Your Foundation

Join us full-time from November and hit the ground running. In your first year, you'll develop both the technical depth and consulting skills to become a confident, capable engineer.

As a graduate, you will:

  • Deliver real project work with real deliverables from technical analysis and modelling through to reporting and client-facing outputs.
  • Attend site visits and gain hands-on field experience across either tailings, waste or water projects.
  • Work directly alongside senior engineers and principals who are invested in your development.
  • Participate in structured mentoring, regular check-ins, and formal performance and salary reviews.
  • Access ATC University training including technical workshops, responsible tailings management, drilling and fieldwork programs.

2. Accelerate — Own Your Technical Direction

You take more ownership of your development — choosing where to go deeper, building client relationships, and stepping into more complex scopes of work.

  • Lead defined scopes within larger projects and take ownership of deliverables.
  • Begin building your professional network through Engineers Australia events and industry engagement.
  • Receive active support toward CPEng registration, with guidance from senior staff who've been through the process.
  • Explore discipline specialisation across our tailings, water or waste practice areas.

3. Beyond The Program — A Career, Not Just A Job

Our Graduate Pathway is designed to set you up for a long career at ATC Williams — not just tick a box and move on. Graduates who demonstrate capability and initiative progress quickly into senior technical roles, project leadership and beyond.

  • Clear promotion structure with transparent criteria and regular career conversations.
  • Ongoing access to ATC University, industry conferences and professional development funding.
  • A genuine career and development pathway for those who want it.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking graduates who are curious, driven and ready to do meaningful engineering work. You might be a recent graduate or completing your degree in 2025 — either way, we want to hear from you.

You will have:

  • A completed (or near-completed) degree in engineering.
  • A genuine interest in tailings, water and/or waste engineering — or an open mind to discover it.
  • Strong analytical skills and a willingness to learn from the people around you.
  • Full working rights in Australia.

How to Apply

Please submit the following as part of your application:

  • Cover letter which includes why you're interested in ATC Williams specifically, the disciplines you're drawn to, and your work rights status.
  • CV
  • Academic transcript (most recent copy).

Incomplete applications will not be considered. We review applications as they come in, so early submission is encouraged.

Applications close Friday, 19 June 2026.

Please note ATC Williams does not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiters or employment agencies.
