As a Graduate Electrical Engineer (Commissioning), you will support the Electrical Commissioning Team in the execution of electrical commissioning activities on Data Centre projects across Europe. This role combines hands-on field commissioning with office-based engineering support, providing an excellent opportunity to develop technical expertise in electrical systems, infrastructure, controls, and commissioning processes.

Working alongside experienced engineers and technicians, you will receive structured training, mentoring, and field exposure to build competence in commissioning activities from Level 2 (Installation Verification) through to Level 5 (Integrated System Testing). This role is designed to support your progression from a graduate engineer to an independent commissioning professional.

Travel to project sites across Europe for extended periods is a core requirement of this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Support electrical commissioning activities across Data Centre projects under the guidance of experienced commissioning personnel.
  • Participate in electrical design reviews and assist in identifying and documenting design discrepancies.
  • Review project specifications, control philosophies, System of Operation (SOO), Description of Operation (DOO), and equipment submittals.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, including single-line diagrams, schematics, and layouts.
  • Assist in the development and review of commissioning test scripts and procedures.
  • Witness and support Level 2 to Level 5 commissioning activities, including Installation Verification Checks (IVC), Pre-Functional Checks (PFC), Functional Performance Tests (FPT), and Integrated System Tests (IST).
  • Execute assigned commissioning activities once trained and authorised by the Electrical Lead.
  • Accurately record test results, field observations, and commissioning documentation.
  • Assist with preparation of commissioning reports, trackers, dashboards, and As-Left documentation.
  • Attend project meetings and provide status updates on assigned activities.
  • Support the review of commissioning documentation and document management systems.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.

Skills Required:

  • Strong interest in electrical engineering and commissioning within mission-critical environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge through training and practical experience.
  • Ability to travel extensively across Europe for project assignments.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Education / Licenses / Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Recent graduates or candidates with relevant internship/work placement experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Full driving licence preferred.
  • Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable
