This opportunity for a Graduate Electrical Engineer is ideal for someone suitably qualified and looking for their first role in the high voltage (HV) industry.
Working for a consultancy that designs HV networks up to 132kV, the journey will start in the organisation's earthing team and will involve assisting Electrical Technicians engaged in surveying and testing earthing systems. Subsequently, duties will include report writing and carrying out the design of earthing systems. In time, the role could progress, with further development and training, into a more general HV Design Engineer role, with the opportunity to specialise in connections, protection or power systems design.
Initially, the position requires someone who is flexible to travel to sites across the country, so a driving licence is highly desirable. A degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline is essential.
