Job Description

What You’ll Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience in an electrical field.
  • F.E. (Fundamentals of Engineering) exam passed or plans to take it soon.
  • Basic AutoCAD skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with low and medium voltage power system design.
  • A collaborative attitude and the ability to work independently when needed.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with a Professional Engineer to design and write specs for electrical power distribution, control systems, industrial lighting, motor controls, and more.
  • Visit commercial, industrial, and municipal sites for project design and construction support.
  • Coordinate with other in-house disciplines — Civil, Structural, Architectural, Survey, Environmental.
  • Communicate with utilities like DTE and Consumers Energy.
  • Assist with construction engineering.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, agencies, and your team to keep projects running smoothly.
