Job Title: Graduate Assistant for International Admissions – CRM Support
Department: International Admissions
Wage: $15.52/hour
Graduate Assistants are required to work a minimum of 10 hours per week. During the fall and winter semesters, work hours may not exceed 24 hours per week. During the spring and summer semesters, Graduate Assistants may work up to, but not exceed, 40 hours per week.
This appointment is for a maximum of two calendar years.
CRM Systems Support
Assist the CRM Captains with projects
Provide first-level support by helping troubleshoot and resolve reported CRM system issues.
Assist with updating and maintaining content within CRM portals.
Assist with editing the SVSU admissions-related web pages
Develop, review and test HTML email layouts
Create custom programs to improve and update CRM database and functions based on user input or through investigative work
Organize and support the implementation of new data import files
Design data exports using SQL programming based upon user feedback
Generate reports for data error clean- up
Participate in daily team meetings
Support Admissions and International staff at recruitment events
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Currently admitted to, or eligible for admission to, an approved graduate program at SVSU. Preferred programs include:
Master of Computer Science & Information Systems
Master of Business Administration
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn new software applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to interact professionally and effectively with students, faculty, staff, and members of the campus community.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently as well as collaboratively.
Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, SQL, and one or more of the following: PHP, DotLiquid, or JavaScript.
Experience working with CRM, student information, or database systems.
Demonstrated interest in technology, systems support, or data management.
Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new technologies and processes
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
General supervision is received from Director of International Admissions
TUITION ELIGIBILITY & TAX IMPLICATIONS:
Graduate Assistantships include a tuition and fee waiver of up to 12 credit hours per semester (maximum 30 per academic year), funded by the SVSU central budget.
Full-time enrollment (9 credits or more) is required in the Fall and Winter semesters, with minimal exceptions available. Less than full-time enrollment is allowed in the final semester for completion or for programs that do not offer full-time enrollment
Per IRS regulations, tuition waivers may be considered taxable income. Amounts exceeding $5,250 annually are generally taxable and will be included in compensation. Employees should consult a tax advisor for guidance.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Duties are generally performed inside and not exposed to adverse conditions.
