About the Role

A Graduate AI Agent Developer supports the design and development of intelligent, automated agents that streamline processes and enhance decision making across the organisation. The role focuses on turning real business

problems into scalable AI-driven solutions that deliver measurable efficiency and improved user experiences. Working closely with technical and operational teams, the developer ensures that agents are reliable, compliant, and aligned to organisational goals. This role adds value by accelerating digital transformation and enabling teams to work smarter through safe and effective solutions.

What You Will Learn & Deliver

· Learns how to gather practical business requirements and understand the day to day responsibilities of different roles throughout the business.

· Learns how to design, build, and refine AI agents that address real operational challenges across the organisation.

· Develops practical skills in prompt engineering, data handling, and responsible AI practices while working with experienced teams.

· Delivers reliable and well tested AI agents that enhance workflow efficiency and support informed decision making.

· Contributes to measurable business value by automating manual processes and improving overall service quality.

Required Skills & Knowledge

· A foundational understanding/interest in artificial intelligence concepts, including large language models, prompt engineering, data handling, and responsible AI principles, with the ability to apply them in practical scenarios.

· Knowledge Basic programming or scripting capability, along with the ability to work with APIs, structured data, and workflow automation tools.

· Analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to break down business processes and identify where AI agents can add value.

· Good communication and documentation skills, ensuring clear handover of logic, requirements, and agent behaviour to technical and non technical stakeholders.

· A willingness to learn modern AI platforms such as Copilot Studio, Azure AI, or equivalent low code and pro code tools, and to stay updated on safe, compliant AI development practices.

Education & Qualifications

A relevant degree OR equivalent practical experience (placements, internships, project work). For regulated roles, specify accredited programmes as required.

Any 3rd level qualification would be suitable if the candidate displayed the desired skills above, however typically you would often see digital development graduates coming from degrees like; Business, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics or Psychology.

The On-Demand business is a specialist medical supply business that sources and distributes pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and consumable supplies to healthcare professionals in over 160 countries worldwide. We have offices in Ireland, UK, Europe, USA and New Zealand. The company’s main divisions encompass everything from International Sales through Sales to NGO’s and Charities, Clinical Trials Supply, Imported (Unlicensed Medicines), Sexual Health Supplies, and the storage and distribution of medical products and devices for third parties
