Section for Machinery and Systems, Maritime Advisory, is responsible for providing technical services within the field of marine propulsion, shafting systems, power generation and auxiliary machinery systems. Beyond traditional- and hybrid machinery solutions, there is also a growing demand for environmentally friendly technologies, energy efficiency and know-how in alternative fuels.
Services are delivered on a consultancy project-work basis to the maritime industries. This includes ship owners and operators, but also yards and makers.
The Machinery and Systems section holds detailed competence in combustion engines, propulsion, turbo machinery, shafts, couplings, gear transmissions, bearings, electric machines, batteries, fuel cells and hybrid systems, as well as control- and system engineering. The section also serves as a competence unit within DNV and collaborates with our world-wide organization.
The section is seeking a graduate candidate with genuine interest- and technical know-how within at least some of the competence areas reflected above.
The position will be a good platform to grow your technical competence and engineering skills and to see practical solutions being made based on theoretical know-how. You will also be able to develop your further career in an international work environment.
The position will offer customer interactions and occasional domestic- and international business travel.
