St. Matthew School, located on the northeast side of Indianapolis, is seeking a passionate and dedicated maternity leave substitute teacher to join our elementary team. This temporary position offers a wonderful opportunity to provide consistency and support while making a meaningful impact on students' learning and growth.

In this role, you will provide continuity of instruction and maintain an engaging, well-managed classroom during a teacher's maternity leave. You will work with established curriculum and plans, adapt instruction to meet the needs of all learners, and foster a classroom culture built on respect, high expectations, and inclusion. You will also collaborate closely with families, colleagues, and school leadership to support students academically and socially.

The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for working with elementary students, along with strong classroom management, communication, and student-engagement skills. Candidates should hold a valid Elementary Education teaching license or be eligible to serve as a substitute teacher in Indiana. Additional certifications, endorsements, and relevant classroom experience are welcome and will be considered.
