The incumbent in pursuit of a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling works under QMHP guidance to provide an advanced level of mental health treatment in both individual and group settings. Primary duties include crisis intervention, risk assessment, diagnostic impression utilizing the DSM, short-term stabilization services as well as individual and group therapy. Treatment is provided based upon sound theoretical principles, with knowledge of the special issues and needs of the population served. The incumbent under QMHP guidance develops treatment strategies to meet the multifaceted needs of a diverse population, with attention to the policies and procedures of the organization, and is expected to interface with both internal and external treatment providers. The incumbent under QMHP guidance works under the regular supervision and direction of a Licensed Team Lead.
