Join Julius Baer as a GPS Associate, an entry-level opportunity for high-potential early-career professionals seeing to build a long-term career in private banking with our Global Products and Solutions division.

As part of the Client Coverage & Advisory team in Zurich, you will begin your career in GPS with a tailored onboarding and development approach, including rotational assignments across key teams. Over 18-24 months you’ll gain hands-on experience, deepen your investment expertise, and build relationships across the division – preparing you for a successful career as an Investment Advisor with GPS.

The GPS unit plays a central role in shaping client-focused investment strategies, developing innovative financial products, and providing expert advisory across all major asset classes. YOUR CHALLENGE

As a GPS Associate Investment Advisor, you will contribute directly to the Investment Advisor team, support client coverage and portfolio structuring tasks. You will work alongside experienced experts to:

• Prepare client investment proposals and tailor portfolio and investment recommendations
• Support client and prospect pitches (e.g. presentations, market insights, investment ideas)
• Develop and assess investment concepts aligned with clients’ objectives, needs, and risk profiles
• Collaborate with specialists across asset classes and product areas
• Provide support and work with senior investment advisors (e.g. trade entry, account balance, etc.)

Through rotational assignments across relevant GPS teams, you will broaden your understanding of our capabilities, clients, and ways of working, while building a strong internal network.

You will receive ongoing coaching and development to support your integration and long-term success within GPS.

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline
• 2-3 years of professional experience (including internships)
• Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit – proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable taking initiative
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking abilities, capable of processing complex information quickly
• Understanding and basic experience of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, robotics, automation, and data analytics
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Service-oriented mindset with a dedication to excellence in client support
• Systematic, precise, and resilient working style – able to deliver quality results under tight deadlines
• Native level in German and Fluency in English, additional language(s) are an advantage
• Eligibility to work in the country of application
