Job Description

Manly Fast Ferry and Fantasea Cruising are an integral part of Sydney’s transport and tourism system, but they are more than that. They are a part of Sydney’s identity adding to the vibrant tapestry of the finest harbour in the world.

What you’ll do

We are currently looking for casual General Purpose Hands (GPH), working across a 7 day per week roster, where you will be responsible for a high level of interaction with maritime customers.

As the face of the company, this opportunity will be responsible for assisting with vessel operations while providing a customer service to the passengers on board. This is a hands-on position, assisting passengers, fulfilling GPH and cleaning duties.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Work under the direction of the Master to maintain a safe and compliant marine operation.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
  • Safe deck line and boarding hardware handling
  • Cleaning of passenger cabin and deck areas in a safe and efficient manner
  • Watch keeping duties as instructed by the Master
  • Passenger ticket validation, passenger assistance and maintain good passenger relations
  • Safety and satisfaction of passengers on board
  • Delivery of on-board kiosk beverage sales compliant with Responsible Service of Alcohol guidelines.


What You’ll Bring

  • NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol license
  • AMSA General Purpose Hand Certificate of Competency
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Valid NSW Working with Children’s Check
