Job Description

Be the connection between groundbreaking therapies and the healthcare professionals who prescribe them. In this field-based role across New Zealand, you'll build meaningful relationships with Primary Healthcare Clinicians and hospital specialists (KOLs) – helping more patients access the treatments that can transform their health.

Your new role

This is a commercially driven, patient-focused role where you'll be the face of Novo Nordisk in your territory – engaging with General Practitioners (GPs) and Hospital healthcare professionals to drive awareness, education and appropriate prescribing of our portfolio across diabetes, obesity and other therapy areas. You will be based in Dunedin with country trips to Queenstown-lakes district, Southland and South Canterbury region. Time away from home is expected to be 8-9 days a month.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with GPs, KOLs (such as endocrinologists) and other key healthcare professionals within your territory

- Developing and executing territory business plans to achieve sales targets and grow market share for the Novo Nordisk portfolio

- Delivering compelling, science-based product presentations and clinical discussions tailored to the needs of individual healthcare professionals

- Identifying and capitalising on opportunities within your territory through effective account planning and customer insights

- Collaborating with cross-functional colleagues including medical, marketing and market access teams to deliver integrated solutions for customers

- Representing Novo Nordisk at medical conferences, educational events and local healthcare forums

- Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and territory activity using CRM systems

Your new department

As part of the New Zealand sales team, you'll work within a close-knit, high-performing group that is passionate about expanding access to innovative therapies for people living with serious chronic diseases. Your work will directly contribute to growing Novo Nordisk's presence across the New Zealand healthcare landscape, connecting our science with the clinicians who can make a real difference for patients.

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for a driven and relationship-oriented sales professional who thrives in the field and is motivated by making a genuine impact on patient outcomes. You'll bring:

- Proven sales experience, ideally supported by pharmaceutical or healthcare exposure within primary care and/or hospital settings.

- A strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a territory management role

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage, influence and build trust with healthcare professionals

- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyse data, identify opportunities and develop territory strategies

- A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. science, pharmacy, nursing or business) – or equivalent experience

- A valid New Zealand driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly across your territory

- Experience in diabetes, endocrinology or metabolic disease therapy areas a plus

- A New Zealand citizen or permanent resident is essential
