In this role, you'll:
Compile accurate and timely responses to Ministerial, Transport and Whole-of-Government requests. You’ll work closely with internal divisions to shape whole-of-Transport positions and respond to consultations from federal, state, and local government. You’ll prepare briefing packs and support witnesses appearing before parliamentary inquiries, ensuring they are well-prepared and informed.
You’ll research and draft high-quality written material, including correspondence, briefing notes, and submissions, while maintaining compliance with established standards and protocols. You’ll stay across parliamentary proceedings and emerging issues to enable proactive engagement. Additionally, you’ll assist with election readiness and Machinery of Government activities, including caretaker compliance

About you
You’ll bring demonstrated experience in government relations, policy, or public affairs, with the ability to analyse complex information and produce politically appropriate responses. A strong understanding of State Government systems, parliamentary processes, and ministerial protocols is essential.
You’re skilled in stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, and managing sensitive information in a fast-paced environment. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Political Science, Public Policy, or equivalent experience will set you up for success.
