How you will make an impact

ChampionFCC’sinfluencebyforging strong, high-impactrelationships withgovernment and industry stakeholdersacrossCanada’sagriculture and food value chain.You’llserve as a trusted advisor, cutting through complexpolicy and industry dynamicstodeliveractionable insights—ensuringFCCremainsinformed, credible, and well‑positioned with key influencers, policymakers, and sector partners.

In this role,you’llwork closely with senior leaders tospotemergingrisks, influence prioritiesandpowerthe decisions that drive FCC’s success and credibility in thesector.

Whatyou’lldo

• Develop andnurtureexecutive‑level relationships with key agriculture stakeholders and governmentdecision-makers

• Monitor emergingtrends, risks, and opportunitiesin the Canadianagriculture and food landscape

• Deliverstrategicinsightsto FCC senior leaders—helpingshape policy,corporate planning, anddrivingstrategic decisions

• Transforminformationinto clear recommendations and effective risk‑mitigation strategies

• Create compellingbriefing materials and communicationsthat equipsenior management and the Boardfor success

• Leaddynamicstakeholder engagement initiativesandgovernment relations activities—amplifyingFCC’s impact

• Collaborate across divisions to align FCC priorities with federal government objectives

• Break down complex information with clarity andconfidence—building credibility at every level

Whatyou’llbring to the team

Required qualifications

• An undergraduate degree in agricultural finance, business, commerce,social sciences,or a related field

• A minimum of five years of experience in government relations, agriculture industry engagement, or related stakeholder‑focused roles

• Expertisein stakeholder relations and a strong understanding of government and parliamentary processes and policies

• Extensive knowledge of the agriculture industry, including key influencers, challenges, and opportunities

• In‑depth understanding of political factors that influence agriculture and food policy in Canada

Preferred qualifications

• Experience supporting risk‑management or issue‑management initiatives related to public policy or industry trends

• Experience preparing briefing materials for senior leadership or boards

• Experience leading or coordinating government relations programs or stakeholder engagement initiatives

• Bilingualism (French and English)
