Your Specific Responsibilities:

  • Conducts the eligibility review, including the evaluation of confidential documentation, for Rebuild Florida applicant files.
  • Performs preliminary document reviews, facilitates the tracking of projects through the department review, approval, execution, and close out processes
  • Provides technical assistance as a subject matter expert with department staff for the CDBG-DR program of Rebuild Florida. Uses subject matter expert knowledge of processing payments, tracking agreements administered by the Rebuild Florida program.
  • Research and prepares State, Federal, and all other applicable policy documents for programmatic review and implementation
  • Tracks homeowner grant agreements and/or contracts from execution to close-out
  • Maintains good working relationships and keeps in close contact with partnering agencies
  • Prepares reports, analyses, and makes recommendations to team to determine program action
  • Maintains essential program-related documents to provide State and Federal audit support
  • Assists team on special projects as needed

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of contract and grant management.
  • Knowledge of State Purchasing procedures.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and ability to operate computer software with a high level of efficiency
  • Ability to coordinate and manage program activities with other partners
  • Ability to demonstrate adaptability and flexibility and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement
  • Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy, customer service, or ethics
  • Ability to conduct research and provide reports and analyses as required
  • Ability to interpret statutes, administrative rules, and federal regulations
