EXAMPLE OF WORK

This is a professional position which plans, monitors, evaluate services with the Protection & Safety Division. This position works closely with child welfare staff responsible for Child Protective Investigations to ensure agency compliance. It involves independent and complex administrative and consultative work related to Child Protection.

Designs, develops, and delivers training across regional local offices on best practices, policies, and procedures related to casework assignment, distribution, and rotation.

Effectively supports with day-to-day duties and functions, including maintaining an accurate current calendar of meetings, staffings, training, etcs. Accurately tracks and meets deadlines for all projects and assists in prioritizing tasks while ensuring that the Operations Program Manager is informed about relevant situations which are important to the operations.

Assists with monitoring and evaluating Departmental programs objectives, organizations, plans, activities and management to improve services; as needed. Assist in the Quality Improvement process by coordinating on-site visits, review patterns and evaluate reports for continuous quality. Proficiently researches and gathers information circuit-wide for analysis and drafts reports in an organized manner as directed.

Provide assistance and consultation to Departmental staff on policies, procedures, rules and regulations; laws and administrative codes relating to child welfare and ensuring compliance to statewide policies, procedures and guidelines.

Communicate verbally and written to Departmental staff by conducting and coordinating programmatic and procedural training to increase the openness, visibility, and clarity of information, actions, or decision-making processes.

Conducts ongoing oversight, including preperation protocols, data spreadsheets, reports from reviews of work, data trends, follow-up review activities and special assignments  

Assist with reviewing policies, manuals, rules and statutes and recommend revisions. Also prepares internal procedures as needed. 

Participate in statewide meetings regarding initiatives related to Child Protection and perform other relaties duties and special projects.
