As a Government Facility Security Officer in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and/or foot patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access screening support, and appropriate emergency response activities at a government correctional location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout housing, administrative, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify unusual conditions, and report maintenance and/or security-related issues.
• Monitor movement at assigned posts, verify credentials and/or permissions as directed, and support order within the location through visible presence and professional communication.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
