As a Government Center Security Guard - Full Time in Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government corrections environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and communicate professionally with staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government correctional location.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and document visitor, contractor, and/or delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and access points to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities, following established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least one year of law enforcement experience, at least two years of security-related supervisory or management experience, or at least three years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
