We are seeking a dedicated Government Affairs Specialist to join our dynamic team in the Oil and Gas industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with regulations related to visas, work permits, and the import/export of tools and equipment under the Board of Investment (BOI). This position requires a good understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape in the industry.

Responsibilities :

• Visa and Work Permit Management: Coordinate and manage the visa and work permit process for expatriate employees, ensuring timely and accurate applications. Keep abreast of visa and work permit regulations, staying updated on any changes that may impact the company or its employees.
• BOI Compliance: Facilitate the BOI application process for tools and equipment import/export, ensuring all necessary documentation and permits are in place. Maintain a strong working relationship with BOI authorities and represent the company in BOI-related matters.
• Permitting and Licensing: - Coordinate with government departments to obtain permissions such as COE and DOEB. Oversee the application and acquisition of permits and licenses necessary for the company's operations. Ensure timely and accurate submission of permit applications and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and analyze local, national, and international regulations affecting the Oil and Gas industry, providing guidance to the company on compliance matters. Prepare and submit required reports, permits, and documentation to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Government Relations: Act as a liaison between the company and government agencies, fostering positive relationships and ensuring smooth interactions. Advocate for the company's interests with government authorities when necessary. Coordinate with BOI office for clients, collaborating with all relevant BOI departments, suppliers, and customers.

• Handle complex BOI issues and relevant processes, including stock status control and official approval coordination.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a legal or public policy background is a plus.
• Proven experience in government affairs, regulatory compliance, or related roles. (within the Oil and Gas industry is a plus).
• Strong understanding of visa and work permit processes for expatriate employees.
• Familiarity with BOI regulations and import/export procedures for tools and equipment
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills both Thai and English languages.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle complex government-related matters.
