Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Governance Manager to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Define and maintain the governance framework.

  • Establish and oversee governance structures, decision authorities, and Terms of Reference.

  • Establish standardized codification structures.

  • Ensure decisions are evidence based, controlled, and auditable.

  • Integrate governance with assurance and audit to support transparency, compliance, and risk management.

  • Establish and maintain configuration management for governance frameworks and artefacts, ensuring version control, traceability, and controlled change.

  • Act as the primary interface with Internal and External Audit, ensuring continuous audit readiness.

  • Track and drive closure of governance, assurance, and audit findings.

  • Monitor governance effectiveness and drive continual improvement using quality management principles.

  • Executive leadership, Assurance (Quality/HSSE/ICT), and Audit, Risk and Compliance, Program and Portfolio leadership.

  • Quality based governance framework and operating model

  • Delegations of Authority and decision matrices

  • Committee structures and Terms of Reference

  • Assurance plans and governance reporting

  • Audit evidence and management responses

  • Success Measures

  • Clear and timely decision making

  • Positive assurance and audit outcomes

  • Reduced repeat findings and systemic issues

  • Leadership confidence in governance effectiveness

hat Required Skills You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in: Construction, Engineering, Business, Management, Law, or a related discipline.

  • 18+ years’ progressive experience in governance, quality management, assurance, audit, or related oversight roles.

  • Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management.

  • Postgraduate qualification desirable (e.g. MBA, MSc, or equivalent).

  • Professional certification in governance, risk, audit, or quality management is advantageous.

  • Experience operating within complex, regulated, or large scale program environments.

  • Demonstrated capability to engage and influence senior leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Structured, analytical, and evidence driven mindset

  • Ability to balance governance rigor with operational pragmatism

  • Proven experience establishing and operating governance frameworks.

  • Direct experience interfacing with Internal Audit and External Audit, including audit preparation, execution, and response management.
