Location: North West with National Travel

Employment type: Full Time

About the role…

The Governance Coordinator supports the smooth delivery of projects and change initiatives by ensuring governance processes, reporting, and documentation are consistently maintained. Working closely with Project Managers and Product Owners, the role provides coordination, portfolio oversight, and administrative support to help keep projects on track and aligned with organisational standards.

As a Governance Coordinator you will…

  • Coordinate governance activities across projects, products, and change initiatives, ensuring agreed processes and standards are followed.
  • Maintain portfolio reporting, dashboards, and key governance documentation to provide clear visibility of progress, risks, and performance.
  • Support Project Managers and Product Owners with project administration, Jira management, action tracking, and governance controls.
  • Facilitate governance meetings, stage gates, steering groups, and change approval processes, ensuring actions and decisions are documented and followed through.
  • Manage and maintain key portfolio artefacts, including RAID logs, decision registers, project registers, roadmaps, and product backlogs.
  • Coordinate communications relating to project updates, product releases, roadmap changes, and other business change activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement by enhancing governance processes, reporting standards, documentation quality, and portfolio visibility across the organisation.

About you…

We're looking for someone with experience in project coordination, PMO, governance, or portfolio support roles who enjoys keeping things organised and running smoothly. You'll be confident managing documentation, producing reports, and supporting projects through strong planning and communication skills. Experience using Jira and Microsoft Office is essential, and any knowledge of Agile ways of working, Power BI, SharePoint, or product delivery environments would be a bonus. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working with a range of stakeholders across the business.
