What are your contributions to the team?

  • Coordinate the BIS/DIO governance calendar, including weekly reviews, governance forums, decision checkpoints, and pre-read materials.
  • Maintain a reliable portfolio tracker covering owners, scope, status, milestones, risks, dependencies, budget, decisions, and next steps.
  • Collect, validate, and consolidate initiative updates into clear summaries, dashboards, executive presentations, and decision packages.
  • Document governance outcomes, including agendas, minutes, decisions, actions, risks, issues, and required follow-ups.
  • Follow up with initiative owners and stakeholders on overdue actions, missing information, approvals, and governance deliverables.
  • Support initiative intake and prioritization by reviewing completeness, business case inputs, funding needs, strategic alignment, customer impact, and resource requirements.
  • Identify portfolio trends, risks, interdependencies, budget variances, and escalation items while helping improve governance tools and templates.

How to thrive in this role?

  • University degree in business administration, engineering, information technology, finance, project management, or a related discipline.
  • Two (2) of relevant experience in portfolio governance, PMO operations, project coordination, business analysis, or a comparable environment.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives and supporting governance or executive review forums.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate portfolio data into clear insights, summaries, and recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI, SharePoint, and portfolio or project management tools is considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines and recurring governance cycles.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to follow up, challenge incomplete information, and influence without formal authority.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English are required; functional French communication skills are considered an asset.
  • Ability to prepare concise, accurate, and executive-ready materials from complex business and project information.
  • Knowledge of the aviation or aftermarket industry is considered an asset.
