The GovCon Billing Specialist will support the financial integrity of the company by managing the full cycle of the billing process. This role requires a strong understanding of federal billing requirements and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure "audit-ready" financial operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and submit accurate invoices for prime contracts and subcontracts, including CPFF, T&M, and FFP contract types.
• Lead the submission of invoices through government portals such as WAWF and IPP, ensuring compliance with FAR and DFARS.
• Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes by ensuring revenue recognition follows GAAP standards.
• Work with the engineering and program management teams to validate labor hours and project expenses.
• Maintain detailed records to support DCAA/DCMA audits and the annual Incurred Cost Submission (ICS).
• Assist in managing subcontractor funding increments and ensuring financial compliance across the lifecycle of the contract.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 3–5 years of progressive experience in Accounts Receivable, specifically within the Government Contracting (GovCon) industry
• Proficiency in MS Business Central or equivalent GovCon ERP system.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) for data reconciliation.
• Foundational knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
