Goods In Lead Operative

JELD‑WEN Penrith is expanding and investing in its people.
As part of our continued growth, we’re looking for a Goods In Lead Operative to join our Quality team at our Penrith site.

This is a hands‑on, operational quality role focused on incoming goods, raw materials quality and supplier compliance, working closely with Procurement, Operations and Technical teams to ensure materials meet our high standards from day one.

What your impact will be:

• Understand, assist and update GEMBA SQDIP Board
• Communicate with your team the daily/weekly results
• Chair and assist with goods inwards/damages meeting duties
• Have a Health and Safety 'FIRST' Mentality and encourage good practice amongst your team
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Maintaining regular and keep up to date all required quality checks
• Work collaboratively within and across all operations teams
• Ensure delivery targets are met and ensure updates are carried out continuously
• Work closely with VSL and VSM’s to control costs
• Be available for stock taking and ensure correct recording of stock levels are carried out daily
• Requirement to cover all aspects of the Quality department where required

What you'll need to succeed:

• Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment
• Proven quality experience
• Experience of working collaboratively with other people
• Good IT knowledge
• Understand Root cause and analysis problem solving techniques
• Have a forklift licence (or be willing to obtain licence)
