The primary purpose of this position is day-to-day operations to maintain golf courses.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and a minimum of one month’s related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Course set up duties to present proper tee marker positions and hole locations. Set up duties also involve litter and waste removal, ball washer maintenance and general care and upkeep of course amenities.
• Mowing and grooming; keep up playability and high quality appearance. Walking and riding equipment.
• Hand water turf; requires moving hoses manually and recognizing wilt conditions. This task is essential to keeping healthy turf.
• Hand labor; including raking, shoveling, pushing and divot repair to groom the course.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high or precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Must be aware of surroundings with an understanding of a golf environment. Must have the ability to see and react to the surroundings including errant golf balls and must understand and follow proper golf etiquette while completing tasks.
