Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent or Foreman, the G olf Course Grounds Crew member operates large equipment such as tractors, loaders, trenchers, backhoes, trucks, and other maintenance equipment and tools.

What you’re responsible for

• Operates various types of equipment, including walk behind mowers, triplex mowers, large-area reel and rotary style mowers, blowers, sprayers, heavy equipment, and hand-held tools.
• Operates smaller equipment as directed by the supervisor.
• Ensures equipment cooling systems are functioning properly; refills fuel and oil daily; cleans equipment daily; and reports equipment issues or failures immediately to the Equipment Manager.
• Performs basic preventive maintenance on equipment as directed by the Equipment Manager or Assistant Superintendent and returns equipment to the designated maintenance facility.
• Performs other duties as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• You have knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of tractors and other motorized equipment.
• You have the ability to follow oral and written directions.
• You have a valid driver's license.
