Job Description

About us

Tom Wood is a Norwegian jewellery brand celebrated for its distinctive yet understated designs, rooted in Scandinavian simplicity and innovation. Founded by Mona Jensen in 2013, the brand reimagined the traditional signet ring, sparking its rapid rise in global popularity.

Today, Tom Wood is certified by the industry benchmark Responsible Jewellery Council, and a proud member of the Watch & Jewellery Initiative 2030. The brand is deeply committed to sustainability, crafting timeless jewellery with a strong focus on quality, transparency, and environmental responsibility.

Guided by a commitment to craftsmanship, innovation, and responsible practices, our global team of around 90 employees works across Oslo, Tokyo, Copenhagen, and Barcelona as we continue to grow internationally.

We are now seeking a Goldsmith to join our team as we continue our growth.

As a Goldsmith at Tom Wood, you will play a key role in bringing creative ideas to life. Combining traditional craftsmanship with quality design and CAD skills, you will transform concepts into high-quality prototypes, technical drawings, production-ready specifications, and finished jewellery pieces.

Working closely with our Creative Director, Product Development team, and external production partners, you will help bridge the gap between creative vision and technical execution. Your expertise will contribute directly to improving product quality, reducing development risk, and strengthening Tom Wood’s internal product development capabilities.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who is equally passionate about craftsmanship, innovation, and product development, and who wants to help build and shape an internal workshop environment within a globally growing jewellery brand.

Key responsibilities

Goldsmith craftsmanship & technical execution

  • Execute high-quality goldsmith work, including prototyping, sample development, repairs, modifications, and customizations.

  • Establish, maintain, and optimize the HQ workshop, ensuring efficient workflows and high operational standards.

  • Identify technical challenges early in the development process and propose practical construction solutions.

  • Contribute to defining and maintaining quality standards for prototypes and production references.

CAD Drawing & product development support

  • Create accurate CAD models, technical drawings, and production-ready specifications.

  • Collaborate closely with the Creative and Product Development teams to refine designs while preserving design intent.

  • Support communication with external suppliers through clear and precise technical documentation.

  • Operating machinery related to product prototyping.

  • Explore and implement new digital tools and technologies that strengthen product development capabilities.

Quality, innovation & responsible practices

  • Conduct quality assessments of prototypes, samples, and repairs.

  • Recommend technical improvements that enhance durability, functionality, and customer experience.

  • Support the integration of responsible materials, gemstones, and production methods.

  • Contribute technical expertise to innovation initiatives across products and processes.

Background & experience

We believe you have professional experience as a Goldsmith, Jeweller, or similar jewellery specialist and enjoy combining hands-on craftsmanship with technical problem solving.

You likely bring

  • Formal education or equivalent professional experience within goldsmithing or jewellery craftsmanship.

  • Strong skills in jewellery construction, finishing, stone setting, repairs, and prototyping.

  • Experience working with CAD software for jewellery design and technical development.

  • Knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes within the jewellery industry.

  • The ability to balance creative ambition with technical feasibility and commercial requirements.

  • Professional working proficiency in English.

As a person, you are

  • Passionate about craftsmanship, jewellery, and product excellence.

  • Curious and motivated by continuous learning and improvement.

  • Structured, detail-oriented, and quality-focused.

  • Collaborative and solution-oriented when working across teams.

  • Comfortable taking ownership and working independently.

  • Excited by the opportunity to help build and develop internal workshop capabilities.

What we offer

  • A key role in a globally recognised, design-driven company with ambitious growth plans

  • Inspiring workspace in the Grünerløkka district of Oslo, Norway

  • Competitive pension, health, and travel insurance packages

  • Profit sharing program (bonus)

  • Subsidised lunch, employee discount on Tom Wood products, and regular social events

If this role sounds like the right fit for you, please do not hesitate to submit your application.

Application deadline: as soon as possible.
