About the Role

Responsible for performing general accounting activities to ensure the integrity, accuracy and completeness of accounting records, and the compliance with accepted accounting standards, AIA group reporting policy and statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute procedures to capture planning and budgeting of general operating expense (GOE) for each nature of expenses by function/cost center/budget owner and align the overall results with the Company’s KPIs and strategies.
  • Manage and contain the actual operating expenses within target by identifying and analysing key activities and cost drivers for each nature of expenses by function/cost center/budget owner.
  • Drive regular (monthly) discussion with key stakeholders (by function/budget owner) to promptly track the actual vs target, be a collaborative challenger towards the function/budget owner, and create valuable resolutions for every obstacle faced.
  • Identify areas for GOE saving opportunity and process improvement within Team, Finance, and the Company to eliminate the wastage of resources.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum bachelor’s in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in budget & control or financial planning & analysis area.
  • Experience as external auditor in Public Accountant Firm and have knowledge of accounting standards would be an advantage.
  • Able to communicate in English, both verbal and written.
  • Thrive in fast-paced environment and demonstrate resilience in demanding situations.
