Job summary

We are seeking a motivated Junior Trader to join our Interest Rate Derivatives trading desk in Seoul. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop trading skills while working closely with senior traders in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy and Business Planning

  • Support the Head of Trading and senior traders in operations and trading activities
  • Execute transactions accurately in accordance with established local trading procedures and risk parameters as directed by the Head of Korea Trading, within limits set by MAM
  • Monitor economic and financial data that may affect the market and stay updated on market changes

2. Daily Trading & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Record all transactions in front office trading systems in a timely manner, in line with applicable trading procedures
  • Provide best efforts to resolve trade breaks reported by Back Office in a timely fashion

3. Management and Reporting

  • Report to the local Head of Trading on business progress and specific issues

4. Risk Management

  • Work with senior traders to establish overall risk parameters
  • Ensure adherence to position and risk limits for market and counterparty risk
  • Adhere to given risk limits at all times

5. Counterparties and Clients

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and peers in other organizations as directed by the Head of Trading
  • Represent the firm with external organizations as directed by the Head of IRD Trading (e.g., industry or product committees, regulatory or governing bodies)

6. Communication

  • Communicate with senior traders and the Head of Trading regarding any concerns or problems
  • Work closely with back office and middle office to ensure accurate and efficient trade processing

Academic qualification / Speciality

  • Candidates who have completed all graduation requirements and are available to start work from June
  • Candidates with less than one year of post-graduation work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field


Level of minimal experience

0-2 years


Experience

  • Strong understanding of financial markets and interest rate products
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Quick learner with strong problem-solving abilities

NATIVE Korean, Fluent in English
