Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:

  • Technical Expertise: Utilize advanced analytical skills to review and interpret complex financial data, identifying trends and implications critical to budgeting, forecasting, and project cost estimations. Comprehend and evaluate broader commercial and business dynamics that influence financial results. Maintain exceptional skills in numerical analysis, verbal, written, and interpersonal communications, alongside excellent computer literacy.
  • Financial & Management Accounting: Take lead in the finalization of comprehensive financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, Cash Flow Statements, and Statements of Changes in Equity, ensuring IND AS compliance, particularly IND AS 38 concerning intangible assets and R&D expenditure treatment. Partner closely with ATPD Project Finance Head for meticulous oversight during project execution, focusing on revenue recognition, profit margins, cash flow management, and taxation adherence. Conduct capital and operational budgeting and maintain an in-depth understanding of transfer pricing mechanisms. Manage government grants, appropriations, and long-term forecasting aligning with sector-specific financial regulations.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive effective working capital management to secure timely planning and liquidity essential for project activities. Prepare and critically review weekly and monthly performance reports, monitor accounting and finance operations compliance, and promote data-driven improvements by deploying industry best practices. Collaborate with business and commercial teams for seamless vendor onboarding and vigilant monitoring of service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Regulatory, Legal & Economic Compliance: Ensure comprehensive compliance with GAAP, IND AS, IFRS, Income Tax regulations, DSIR requirements, and other statutory frameworks. Lead initiatives to raise awareness on compliance risks, preparing and presenting relevant management reports.
  • Information Technology Integration: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IT systems, financial process controls, and associated risk parameters. Identify emerging technological trends impacting finance operations and coordinate with external technical experts when required to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Governance, Risk & Control: Enforce the implementation and upkeep of financial and operational control frameworks across MRV teams. Contribute substantially to annual assurance statements and internal control declarations endorsed by senior management.
  • Interpersonal & Leadership Skills: Build and sustain influential relationships across diverse stakeholders and senior leadership. Communicate with clarity and transparency suited to various audiences, including board-level members. Define clear roles, KPIs, and performance expectations while effectively managing and motivating teams under pressure. Encourage collaboration, unity, and proactive resource sharing while safeguarding confidentiality. Demonstrate confident leadership during crises, managing conflict constructively to achieve win–win outcomes and preserve healthy work relations.

Experience

15 or more years relevant experience

Industry Preferred

Qualifications

Chartered Accountant ( CA) / ICWAMBA in Finance
