Global University Program Manager – Personal Systems

We are seeking a highly strategic and collaborative Global Program Manager to serve as the critical bridge between the Personal Systems (PS) business and HP’s Global University Hiring Strategy. This role is responsible for aligning business workforce needs with early talent pipelines, ensuring seamless coordination across a complex stakeholder ecosystem, and strengthening HP’s brand and engagement with universities worldwide.
This individual will operate at the intersection of business strategy, talent acquisition, and workforce planning, driving impact through strong program management, stakeholder influence, and global connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Partnership & Alignment

  • Act as the primary liaison between the Personal Systems business and Global University Recruiting strategy

  • Translate workforce needs from PS into scalable university hiring plans

  • Partner with leadership across PS to ensure alignment with business priorities and talent demand forecasts

  • Drive consistency between global student hiring frameworks and regional execution

2. Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Lead coordination and communication across a highly matrixed set of stakeholders:
Internal Stakeholders:

  • Intern Hiring Managers within Personal Systems

  • Recruiting teams (campus and experienced hire recruiters)

  • Global University Director

  • Personal Systems Chief of Staff (direct reporting line)

  • Head of Personal Systems HR (L1 HRBP) and broader HRBP organization (L2, L3)

  • Workforce Planning teams

  • Peer Program Managers across business units:

  • Print

  • Enterprise Operations (EO)

  • Technology Innovation Operations (TIO)

  • HP Solutions (HPS)

  • Commercial Organization (CO)

  • Corporate Functions (Finance, Marketing, Legal, HR)

3. Program Management & Execution

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve global university hiring programs for Personal Systems

  • Establish standardized processes for intern and early career hiring

  • Track key metrics (hiring targets, conversion rates, program effectiveness)

  • Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities across the hiring lifecycle

  • Ensure operational excellence across regions and functions

4. University Engagement & External Partnerships

  • Serve as a strategic connector between HP and target universities globally

  • Align university engagement efforts with Personal Systems business priorities

  • Partner with recruiting teams to support university events, outreach strategies, and branding initiatives

  • Build long-term relationships with key academic institutions and external partners

5. Alumni Community Development

  • Develop and lead a Personal Systems alumni community of former interns and early career hires

  • Activate alumni as ambassadors for:

  • University engagement activities

  • Campus recruiting events

  • Mentorship and candidate experience

  • Create scalable frameworks for alumni participation and engagement

  • Leverage alumni insights to continuously improve programs and candidate pipelines

6. Data-Driven Insights & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze hiring data and trends to inform strategic decision-making

  • Provide actionable insights to stakeholders across PS, HR, and recruiting

  • Benchmark against other HP business units to identify best practices

  • Drive innovation in early talent programs to enhance competitiveness

Core Responsibilities:

  • Drive clear, structured communication across all levels of stakeholders

  • Facilitate alignment on hiring goals, timelines, and program priorities

  • Manage competing priorities and ensure transparency across groups

  • Represent Personal Systems in enterprise-wide early talent discussions

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in program management, talent strategy, workforce planning, or HR

  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives globally

  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills

  • Experience working in highly matrixed, enterprise environments

Preferred:

  • Experience with university recruiting or early career talent programs

  • Familiarity with workforce planning processes

  • Prior experience in technology or large global organizations

  • Strong analytical and data storytelling capabilities

The pay range for this role is$73,800to$113,650USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
