HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW
The Global Trade Compliance Coordinator is responsible for managing daily import and export transactions and supporting the trade compliance team, while ensuring compliance with import and export regulations including CBP, EAR, and OFAC.
This is a hybrid position based in the Boston, MA area, with remote considered for the right candidate.
EXPECTATIONS
- Work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and CBP on import and export matters
- Review product information to assign HTS and ECCN and country of origin determination
- Manage the import & export document recordkeeping process per regulations and company policy
- Screen partners, customers, and vendors for denied parties, restricted end-uses, and antiboycott
- Support internal audits of business activities for adherence to import and export procedures
- Understand new regulatory requirements and incorporate changes into daily operations
- Identify and analyze compliance gaps and recommend solutions to management
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and execute compliance procedures
- Support Free Trade Agreement qualification and duty-savings programs
ESSENTIALS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
- 2+ years of trade compliance related experience, technology/semi-conductor industry a plus
- Working knowledge of HTS & ECCN Classification, Commerce Control List (CCL), Schedule B
- Strong problem-solving and data analytic skills
- Self-starter with leadership qualities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint
