Chemours is seeking aGlobal Technology ManagerforourMeltprocessablefluoropolymersteamto join our growing Advanced Performance Materials(APM)businessThishighly visible leadership rolewillreport directly to theGlobal Technology Director of Advanced Performance Materialsand isbasedat the Chemours Discovery HubinNewark, DE This rolerequires close collaboration withglobalstrategicgrowth, commercial, marketing, and manufacturingresources toalign innovation efforts with customer and market needs.

Chemours' Advanced Performance Materials business develops high-performance materials that enable critical technologies across semiconductor manufacturing, AI infrastructure, high-performance computing, advanced communications, transportation, energy, and industrial markets. Our market-driven innovation strategy combines deep materialsexpertisewith application-focused development to create solutions for challenges that conventional materials cannot solve.Our fluoropolymer technologies are enabling some of the fastest-growing segmentsglobally, including:

  • Semiconductor chip manufacturingandadvanced packaging

  • Next-generation wire, cable, and interconnect solutionsforhigh-speed, high-frequency communications and data infrastructure,andAI and hyperscale data center technologies

  • Ultra-high-purityor harsh chemicalfluid handling systems,often at extremetemperatures inchallengingenvironments

  • Transportation,aerospace, defense,medical,andindustrialtechnologies

Fluoropolymer materialsolutionsare essential to support several growing areas of modern advanced electronics technologyAssemiconductordevice architectures become morecomplexand semiconductor manufacturing demands higher purity, reliability, thermal performance, and chemical resistance, fluoropolymers arethematerials of choice.

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead theglobaltechnical teamcollaboratingwith ourcustomers andvalue chain partners to drivetechnology development at the forefront of these industry transformations, as well as supporting the existing applications and product portfolio

Thishighly visibleroleof Global Technology Managerwill lead aglobalteam of scientists and engineers around the world,whoareresponsible forsolving the challenges thatfacethe current incumbent materials.

The Global Technology Managerwill coordinate program activities and resourcing, guide developmentand prioritization,and have oversight ofthe globalR&D,technicalservice,prototyping, testing, andapplication developmentlaboratoriesinAmerica,Europeand ChinaThe role also interacts with strategic customers and value chain partnerstoidentifyand drive adoption ofthe newmaterialsThe position is a key leadership position in thetechnology organization,workingdailytogether with theglobaltechnology director and VP of technology, as well as theglobalbusiness development team,strategic growth team members,and all other functions to develop and commercializeChemours new offerings.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead and develop a global team of R&D scientists and application engineers,establishingstrategic priorities, talent development plans, and technical excellence standards

  • Monitor and evaluate progress and results, anddetermineimprovements or changes needed to achieve goals.

  • Workdailywiththeglobaltechnology and commercialteamsto ensure alignment of technical resources with business strategyfornew productand applicationdevelopment

  • Expandcapabilities to support product development, applicationprototypingandindustry relevant performance testingforthe targetapplications.

  • Oversee global laboratory operations and investment strategies, including implementation of new equipment, testing methodologies, and development processes- fosteringa culture of innovation, collaboration, technical rigor, and safe laboratory operations.

The following qualifications are required f or this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in research and development, technology leadership, materials development, or a related technical field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of direct people management experience, including leading technical teams and developing talent.

  • Demonstrated experience leading global technology organizations and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong background in polymer formulation, processing, characterization, and product development for advanced electronics and semiconductor applications.

  • Domestic and international travel up to 25%

The following qualifications are preferred for this role:

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.

  • Expertise in fluoropolymer technologies, including extrusion, molding, compounding, films, tubing, and wire and cable applications.

  • Deep knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, advanced electronics, AI infrastructure, high-speed connectivity, and data center technologies.

  • Experience developing materials for high-performance applications across industries such as semiconductor, aerospace, automotive, energy, electronics, medical, and chemical processing.

  • Demonstrated success driving innovation, strategic customer engagement, and global R&D organizations within both technology development and manufacturing environments.

Pay Range (in local currency):

$141,120.00 - $220,500.00

Annual Bonus Target:

The incentive pay is dependent on business results and individual performance and subject to the terms and conditions of the specific plans.
