We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Global Support Executive.
In this role, you will:
- Asset Servicing team is part of the Markets and Securities Services Operations functions. Asset Servicing team processes all voluntary and mandatory corporate action (including Income processing) across various UK, Europe and MENA jurisdiction.
- The department is also responsible for data validation for Equity and UK income collectives and mandatory corporate action. Team is divided into mainly three sub-groups – Corporate Actions team (processes all capital voluntary & mandatory corporate action), Income processing team (processes Income for Dividend, Coupon interest payment & Pool factor processing) and corporate action validation team (validates corporate action for Equity, UK Income collectives, Capital mandatory corporate action).
- Our clients are spread across Globe covering APAC, EMEA, MENA and Americas. Responsible for ensuring that all work is delivered within agreed timeframes and meets the required high-quality standard. To deliver a high-quality customer driven service which provides customers with a positive view of HSBC and meets their expectations in terms of accuracy, timeliness and professionalism
- Understand and deliver excellent customer service. Process customer instructions accurately to achieve agreed quality standards and targets (as amended or notified from time to time) on all the processes worked. Ensure timely and accurate processing of all static data activities. Maintain and update static data and related information within agreed standards. Process comprehensive end to end knowledge of corporate action events, including processing, reconciliation, and issue resolution across the corporate action lifecycle.
- Ability to plan and organize workload to meet deadlines, considering relative priorities. Escalate instances that do not comply with the Performance Level Agreement and take necessary preventive / corrective actions to avoid future occurrences.
- Responsible for ensuring that common errors / irregular transactions are identified and escalated in accordance with procedures in a timely manner. To understand and comply with all relevant policies and procedures issued by the Group and contained within the Group Standards Manual and relevant Functional Instruction Manuals, Desk Instruction Books and Process Guides
- To be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and to ensure that all actions consider the likelihood of operational risk occurring. To maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
- To acquire and update knowledge on procedures related to processes and to ensure that work is completed in accordance with procedures and within timeframes. To ensure that issues / problems are effectively investigated and resolved or are appropriately referred to recommendations. To respond quickly to urgent work demands and be flexible with work timings.
To be successful, you will:
- Knowledge of Fixed Income, Equities & Money Market Products
- Fluent in English – spoken and written
- Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Access and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Fixed Income, Equities & Money Market Products
- Excellent attention to detail
- Work on own initiative
- Good knowledge of Fixed Income/Equities/ Corporate Actions events
- Should be able to work flexible hours (Night Shift/Rotation Shift) (E)
- Graduate in Commerce, Finance or Equivalent
