As a Global Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM), you will play a critical role in ensuring the long-term performance, reliability, and strategic development of PolyPeptide Group’s strategic and critical suppliers, with an initial focus on strategic direct material suppliers
You will act as the primary interface between PolyPeptide Group and its key suppliers, driving structured relationship governance, supplier performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with Global Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, R&D, and Quality, you will ensure supplier accountability, alignment with business requirements, and measurable contributions to cost, delivery, quality, risk mitigation, sustainability, and ESG objectives
Key Responsibilities
1. Supplier Relationship Management & Governance
Lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities for assigned strategic direct material suppliers, acting as the Supplier PMO Office
Serve as the single point of contact between PolyPeptide Group and key suppliers.
Coordinate and align interfaces across Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, R&D, and Quality functions.
Establish, manage, and continuously improve supplier governance frameworks, including:
Executive Review Meetings
Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
Supplier performance and risk reviews
Continuous improvement and collaboration initiatives
Consolidate, track, and report progress against the supplier collaboration and improvement agenda
Monitor supplier KPIs related to quality, delivery, cost, service, and sustainability, and drive corrective and preventive actions where required.
Actively collaborate with suppliers to enhance reliability, transparency, responsiveness, and operational excellence
2. Cross-Functional Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner closely with Operations (Supply Chain, Planning), Quality, and R&D to ensure short- and mid-term material availability
Support new product introductions, technical changes, and process improvements by aligning suppliers with PolyPeptide’s technical, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Serve as an escalation point for supplier-related issues impacting material availability, quality, or business continuity.
Facilitate structured communication and alignment between internal stakeholders and suppliers.
3. Risk Management, ESG, Compliance & Governance
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate supplier-related risks, including:
Capacity constraints
Supply continuity risks
Geopolitical and market risks
Regulatory and compliance risks
Promote and monitor compliance with PolyPeptide Group requirements related to Quality, Sustainability, ESG, and Ethical Standards
Ensure supplier adherence to procurement policies, GMP requirements, and supplier management standards
Support audit readiness and continuous improvement of supplier compliance frameworks.
4. Procurement Collaboration & Strategic Alignment
Work in close collaboration with Global Procurement and local procurement teams to ensure:
Strategy alignment
Harmonized processes
Effective global and local execution
Required Skills & Qualifications
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in science, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional Experience
Minimum 7 years of experience in strategic procurement, supplier management, PMO-type roles, or supply chain operations
Proven experience in supplier performance management and relationship governance is highly desirable.
Solid understanding of pharmaceutical GMP requirements, particularly related to raw materials and supplier qualification
Knowledge of peptide synthesis raw materials, solvents, and reagents is a strong advantage.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics AX, SAP) and MS Office tools
Fluent in business English; additional languages are an advantage.
