Job Description

Position Summary

The Global Strategic Marketing & Communication Specialist is responsible for defining and driving DECCO's global marketing and communication strategy, ensuring alignment between business objectives, brand positioning, and commercial growth priorities.

This role focuses on developing a consistent global narrative, strengthening DECCO's market positioning, and enabling effective communication across regions, products, and business functions. The position works closely with senior leadership, commercial teams, R&D, and regional stakeholders to enhance brand visibility, support go-to-market strategies and reinforce DECCO's leadership within the post-harvest industry.

Key Responsibilities

Global Marketing & Communication Strategy

  • Develop and implement DECCO's global marketing and communication strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Define strategic communication priorities and annual marketing plans.
  • Support business growth initiatives through effective market positioning and value proposition development.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and industry developments to identify communication opportunities.

Brand, Content & Messaging Governance

  • Ensure consistency of brand identity, messaging, and communication standards across all regions.
  • Develop messaging frameworks and value propositions for products, solutions, and corporate initiatives.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of strategic marketing content across multiple communication channels.
  • Maintain global brand guidelines and marketing assets.

Product, Innovation & R&D Communication

  • Collaborate with Product Management and R&D teams to communicate product innovations and technical developments.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear and compelling customer-focused messaging.
  • Support product launches through strategic communication plans and marketing materials.
  • Develop content that highlights DECCO's innovation capabilities and industry leadership.

Events, Sponsorships & Industry Presence

  • Coordinate DECCO's participation in global trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
  • Develop event communication strategies and promotional campaigns.
  • Manage sponsorship opportunities that enhance brand visibility and business development objectives.
  • Measure and evaluate the impact of marketing events and industry activities.

Regional Alignment & Enablement

  • Partner with regional teams to ensure alignment between global strategy and local market needs.
  • Provide communication frameworks, tools, and guidance to support regional marketing activities.
  • Facilitate best-practice sharing across regions and business units.
  • Ensure effective execution of global campaigns at local level.

External Partners & Vendor Management

  • Manage relationships with agencies, designers, media suppliers, and external communication partners.
  • Coordinate external vendors to ensure quality, consistency, and timely delivery of marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor budgets and evaluate supplier performance.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize marketing resources and investments.

Internal Communication & Employee Engagement

  • Support internal communication initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and alignment with company objectives.
  • Develop communication materials for corporate announcements, leadership messages, and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and leadership teams to enhance internal communication effectiveness.
  • Promote a consistent understanding of DECCO's vision, strategy, and values across the organization.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business Strategy, or related discipline is considered an asset.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic marketing, corporate communications, brand management, or related roles.
  • Experience working in multinational and matrix organizations.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing global marketing and communication strategies.
  • Experience managing cross-functional and international projects.
  • Experience within the agrochemical, agricultural, post-harvest, or agribusiness sector is highly desirable.

Languages

  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
  • Spanish is highly desirable.
  • Additional languages are considered an advantage.
