Anko Sourcing is the direct sourcing arm for the iconic Australian retail brands, Kmart and Target. We are now looking for a Global Sourcing Researcher (3-year Contract) to join our team for exploring potential new suppliers to support our business.
Job Accountabilities
Conduct research to find new suppliers outside of the China regions
Benchmark Global retailers & brands to uncover sources of supply and Identify potential markets based on category specialization
Evaluate potential markets to understand cost of supply and liaise with International supply Chain team on route optimization
Evaluate potential supplier against key Kmart ethical and QA standards and ensure potential supplier is aware of Kmart supply chain & financial requirements
Liaise with Sourcing team, capture data & update new supplier journey in Central Diversification documents
Summarize progress data metrics for monthly sprint and as required in ad hoc reports
Ensure research delivers against diversification road map priorities & annual targets
Capture feedback from Sourcing & Merch on new supplier success/fail to ensure research team is meeting customer needs
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
5 years or above of sourcing experience; previous experience with large retailers is beneficial
Mature, self-motivated and strong sense of responsibility.
Good command in both written and spoken Cantonese, English and Mandarin
Responsible, detail-oriented, flexible and good team player
Excellent communication, negotiation skills, summarising and reporting skills
Ability to deliver results independently with min guidance
Excellent Excel, Word & PowerPoint skills
