This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Global Sourcing & Costing Assistant based in India.

This role plays a key part in supporting early-stage product development and global sourcing operations across apparel, soft goods, and home accessories. You will act as a critical link between international manufacturing partners and internal product and sales teams, ensuring accurate costing, viable margins, and well-structured project timelines before production begins. The position requires strong analytical thinking, financial awareness, and the ability to manage communication with overseas factories across different time zones. Working in a fast-paced, fully remote environment, you will contribute directly to pricing decisions, vendor coordination, and sample development tracking. Your work will help shape whether new products move forward successfully by ensuring both commercial and operational feasibility. This is a detail-driven role with strong exposure to global supply chains and cross-functional collaboration.

You will support sourcing, costing, and product development processes by coordinating with vendors, analyzing pricing, and helping structure early-stage project execution.

• Gather and analyze initial pricing from international suppliers for new product concepts across apparel and related categories.
• Build preliminary costing models and support P&L analysis to assess margin feasibility before product approval.
• Communicate with overseas factories to validate capabilities, lead times, MOQs, and production feasibility.
• Track sample development progress and ensure alignment between design intent and factory execution.
• Assist in building Time & Action (T&A) calendars and ensuring milestone tracking across multiple projects.
• Identify potential risks in cost, production, or timelines and escalate issues with practical recommendations.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines sourcing experience with strong financial understanding and excellent cross-border communication skills.

• 3+ years of experience in sourcing, product development, costing, or production management roles.
• Experience in apparel, textiles, soft goods, or home accessories is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of costing structures, margins, freight estimates, and basic P&L analysis.
• Proven experience communicating with international suppliers, especially across Asia or South America.
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and familiarity with PLM/ERP tools.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple timelines simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
